My olive oil packaging design has recently won the Student Design category at the American Package Design Awards 2015 . I am greatly honored and very proud with its story. Click to see.
Olive oil packaging demonstrates how Foca's story of being an Turkish Aegean town based olive oil.
I created design through illustrations in different colors due to the types of olive oil: Extra Virgin, Stone Ground, Early Harvest.
Background image has been designed as a symbol of Turkish-Greek houses and also inspiration comes from the realm of paper's texture and touch.
This bottle design, inspired by The Cintemani motif, is formed from three pearls, it is oftenly used with the Cloud Motifs. The Cintemani is a true symbol of power, protection and strength.
Corporate Annual Report Design.
I didn't just want to show about charts, graphs and numbers. I wanted to tell the compelling story of the company's past, present and future.
Actually, my color choice was decisive first, layout with grids and typesetting came later.
I focused onto eye catching colors in clean design giving the message of modern classics still manufactured today by Herman Miller. Pantone version is also available.
I believe that the usage of bitmap image and three colored charts helped me to control the recognition of texts and make reading practice easy and fun specially for marketers.
Skin and Cover Design for three genres on Hone Music Platform: Indie Rock, Rock, Jazz.
The design of the covers are influenced by their genres' stories.
Exploring music genres by the parallels between visual and musical arts and the related synonyms.
While Indie rock music is more about independence without definition, Rock music is the expectation of movement and free-flowing. Jazz music a variety of ensemble mixes on hot air and steps with sweet, soft, plenty rhythm. 'Jazz music creates so many phenomenal figures.'
So that, I used symmetry to balance many things in a composition like realism and abstraction and I created new figures.
The collection has both desktop and mobile skins.
Brochure, Poster (A3, Concertina Four Fold, front and Back Pages) and Ticket Design for BFI London Film Festival in London bringing eight movies of Stanley Kubrick from its archive.
Advertising elements are designed for promoting event and exploring film program, attracting target audience including cinema lobbies.
Relevant thematic imagery is completed with type.
I have chosen 'Subjectivity' as poster title because of the synonym senses of Kubrick's 20th art and preoccupation keywords.
Bread Cookbook Design.
I tried to keep that in mind: We are not reading those books on a comfortable chair.
Instead of getting lost in a cookbook's long narrative of instructions and a miniature typeface, I tried to use a good font and font size.
Bold titles, bold first one or two words and last sentences are shown as headnotes. So that, reader would see more connected paragraphs.
Honest photographs facing the recipe page could mention ingredients and preparation more powerful and realistic.
A Digital Magazine for creative souls: styleguide, cover page and one chosen article's pages.
Making reading on screen easier against complexity of eclectic and long content: art, design and music.
By using quite impressive color palette, typography, image treatments, graphic elements (textures, patterns, icons, etc.) with an illustration style full of interactive elements, the experience turned into playful scenes.
City Identity Visual Brand Design for Mumbai. It is the most populous city in India.
City Identity's first advertising element was creating a logo.
The sense of synonyms have been collected such as gateway(exit), goddess(favourite), glamor(come-on!) messages through Art-Deco.
Meanwhile, I focused onto Art-Deco which had senses such as onion domes, arches, gables, spires but with modern style (symmetry, rectilinear-not curvilinear), eclectic (geometric), Neo-gothic, Victorian,...
Firstly, I designed with rectilinear shapes to figure out city's architecture and soul.
Secondly, magnetism of glamor made me choose the striking pinkish-red color. So that, logo design is best shown on this background color.
Finally, I designed UI again with rectilinear shapes after moodboarding, thumbnailing (utilizing the interactive sketch sheets) and wireframing.
However, on-the-go people need to find the useful information as soon as possible. Especially, while going on a travel. So I tried to design the best font size and user-friendly interface design. This might require using less touch targets than they normally would.
